About National Park Police Corps

The National Park Police Corps ( NPP C) was set up in July 15, 1998. There are six National Park Police Brigade ( Yangmingshan, Sheipa, Yushan, Kenting, Taroko, Kinmen ) subordinated to NPP C .

The establishment of NPP C is aimed to integrate th e duties and authorities of National Park Police Brigade , to fortify the organization and functions. By means of “Servicing, Preventing, Admonishing, and Punishing”, the NPP C reaches the targets of pres erving the natural resources, protecting the public security an order, safeguarding the tourists.

 

The range of national park is extensive. People are attracted by the popular trails, special landscapes, and recreational spots. Therefore, “Public Service ”becomes the most important duty of NPP C . The NPP C provides the general service, such as guidance, water, toilets, tire repaired, at any time. Furthermore, the NPP C offers rescuing and helping while emergency disasters, such as mountain disasters, strays, cars fallen down to valley, and car accidents, happened in the National Parks.
